Optex Systems, Inc. Announces a $1.3 Million Award Through TACOM Warren, With Up-To a 100% Option Potential

RICHARDSON, TX -- (Marketwired) -- 06/08/15 -- Optex Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Optex Systems Holdings, Inc. (OTCQB: OPXS), a leading manufacturer of optical sighting systems and assemblies for domestic and foreign militaries, announced today they have been awarded 11,200 ACOG Laser Filter Units valued at $1.3M. This award resulted from a successful proposal supplied through the recently acquired Applied Optics Center (AOC) Division and includes an option quantity up-to an additional 11,200 units for a potential contract value of $2.6M.

"This award illustrates that the AOC Division of Optex Systems remains a leading source for laser protection optics to our Department of Defense customers. The key factors for this award rested on our ability to provide the Government with competitive pricing along with our operational capacity to provide high volumes in shorter lead-times," stated Bill Bates, AOC's General Manager. He continued, "We are proud to have been chosen for this award and it clearly demonstrates our organization remains critical as a DoD supplier of laser protection coatings and optical assemblies."

AOC is a key supplier of technically challenging thin-film coatings, optical components, and systems to both DoD and Commercial customers who require a high degree of performance and quality.
