Global Eagle Entertainment Appoints Greg Campbell, Ph.D. to Senior Vice President and General Manager of Connectivity Products

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., March 11, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Global Eagle Entertainment Inc. (Nasdaq:ENT) ("Global Eagle") today announced the appointment of Greg Campbell, Ph.D. to Senior Vice President and General Manager of Connectivity Products. For the previous six months, Dr. Campbell worked with Global Eagle subsidiary Row 44 as a consultant, providing leadership to improve the customer experience during a rapid expansion of the service.

Dr. Campbell was previously Vice President and General Manager of the Etch Products Organization for Lam Research Corporation (Nasdaq:LRCX). Earlier in his career, he was the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Trikon Technologies, Inc., a global organization he took public with LaValle.

Dr. Campbell received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Engineering from the University of Cambridge, and earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Plasma Physics from University of California, Los Angeles.
