Performance Sports Group Hosts Multi-Sport Showcase and Highlights Continued Commitment to Research & Development
New MOMENTUM Event Unveils Next-Generation Products and Technologies Across Company's Entire Portfolio
EXETER, NEW HAMPHIRE -- (Marketwired) -- 10/06/14 -- Performance Sports Group Ltd. (NYSE: PSG)(TSX: PSG) (PSG), a leading developer and manufacturer of high performance sports equipment and apparel, recently concluded its annual global showcase during which it unveiled its next-generation products and demonstrated the company's industry-leading Research & Development platform.
"Every year we reset the standard when it comes to innovation and technology at this showcase event," said Kevin Davis, President and CEO of Performance Sports Group. "Our largest event ever, MOMENTUM included more than 700 of our key retailers and partners who were able to see and experience the power of our shared technologies and scientific research that drive our platform, brands and innovation."
Previously named BauerWorld, this industry-leading retail and partner event was renamed MOMENTUM to better align with Performance Sports Group's multi-sports portfolio that includes seven consumer-facing brands across six sports. Last year for the first time the event expanded beyond hockey to include all of the brands within the Performance Sports Group portfolio. This year, the event expanded to include the products and technology of Easton Baseball/Softball, the company's most recent acquisition.
Each business delivered industry-specific presentations and provided a unique hands-on experience. Attendees from around the world descended upon Amelia Island, Florida, and were able to interact with the company's key product developers and designers to receive an in-depth explanation of the R&D behind the company's products.
In addition to the many product presentations and ability to interact with the company's employees, attendees were able to try out all of the latest product innovations in the Performance Sports Group sportsplex. On the grounds of the Florida resort, the company built an entire recreation facility, complete with batting cages, roller hockey court, lacrosse fields, soccer fields and hockey rink.

PRODIGY is a full line of youth-specific equipment that was designed
with beginners and their parents in mind. This new line of head-to-toe
gear is lightweight, adjustable and easier to put on, as it includes
directional information printed right on the equipment. BAUER also
launched a full offering for street hockey to complement its ice and
roller businesses. BAUER now offers a full lineup of street hockey
equipment and accessories, including sticks, helmets, equipment and
balls.
-- Also unveiled was Bauer Hockey's latest collection of uniforms.

its top two tiers of uniforms. Combined with lightweight, but
traditional material, BAUER's latest uniform offering provides teams
access to the most innovative uniform technology in the industry.
CASCADE AND MAVERIK LACROSSE

performance for both brands.
EASTON AND COMBAT
-- With the No. 1 baseball/softball business in North America, PSG's brands
showcased its latest game-changing innovations. Attendees learned more
about the new EASTON MAKO TORQ bat and how its 360-degree rotating
handle helps hitters get to the optimal hitting position quicker and
stay there longer, resulting in better contact more often. COMBAT
introduced its new TRACT Technology, which increases the barrel size
without adding weight or sacrificing balance.
-- Attendees were also provided with an in-depth look at the different
manufacturing processes EASTON and COMBAT utilize to deliver the highest
performing bats to the marketplace. In addition, EASTON provided a sneak
peek at sensor technology that the company looks to bring to market next
year.
APPAREL
-- During MOMENTUM, PSG announced that it has expanded its exclusive
partnership with Cocona Natural Technologies, the maker of 37.5™
technology. The partnership provides PSG with exclusive use of this
advanced fast-drying moisture management technology in hockey, lacrosse,
baseball and softball, and non-exclusive use in soccer. Apparel with
this technology dries up to five times faster than competitive products.
Unlike wicking apparel, airflow is not needed, which allows 37.5
technology to work well underneath equipment. The use of 37.5 technology
in multiple layers - performance apparel, protective equipment and
uniforms - increases the overall effectiveness and evaporation process.
