Adam Epstein - Chairman of the BoardAdam J. Epstein has served as a director of OCZ since March 2010, Lead Director since March 2012 and Chairman of the Board since October 2012. Mr. Epstein is the founding principal of Third Creek Advisors, LLC ("TCA"), a special advisor to boards of small-cap companies and investment funds in connection with corporate finance and capital markets. Prior to founding TCA in 2010, from 2003 to 2009, Mr. Epstein was a co-founder and principal at Enable Capital Management, LLC, an investment firm that provides growth financing to publicly-traded companies. Mr. Epstein previously held managerial roles with Enable Capital, LLC, Surge Components, Inc., MailEncrypt, Inc., Tickets.com, Inc., and Achilles’ Wheels, Inc. Mr. Epstein started his career as an attorney at the law firm of Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison. He received a bachelor’s degree, cum laude , from Vassar College, and a J.D. from Boston University. Richard L. "Dick" Hunter - DirectorMr. Richard L. "Dick" Hunter has 33 years of experience in high tech, manufacturing operations and supply chain management. He also serves on the boards of Super Circuits, KLD Energy Technology, DataInfoCom and The United Way of William County (TX), and is an adviser to Augmentix and Ukumi. He is also a general partner of Daylight Partners, a firm focused on private equity investing in early to mid stage companies. He retired from Dell Inc. after ten years of service. In his last role at Dell as VP - Consumer Technical Support and Customer Service, Mr. Hunter was responsible for customer contact centers in the Americas, APJ and EMEA, which managed over 14,000 agents. For seven years, Mr. Hunter led Dell’s Americas’ manufacturing operations. Prior to Dell, Mr. Hunter served as: Chief Operating Officer of Matco Electronics of Vestal, NY and Raleigh, NC; Director of Manufacturing and Supply Chain Operations at Texas Instruments; VP – Procurement at Ericcson/General Electric, Lynchburg, VA; VP – Manufacturing at Ryan Homes in Pittsburgh, PA and Atlanta, GA; and Director Manufacturing and Supply Chain Operations at Exide Electronics. Raleigh, NC. He began his career with a seven year tenure at General Electric in various roles and locations. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech and is a graduate of General Electric’s Manufacturing Management Program. Russ Knittel - DirectorMr. Knittel has served as Executive Vice President of Synaptics Inc. since July 2007 and Chief Financial Officer, Secretary, and Treasurer from November 2001 until September 2009. Mr. Knittel also served as Senior Vice President from November 2001 until July 2007 and as the Vice President of Administration and Finance, Chief Financial Officer, and Secretary from April 2000 through October 2001. Synaptics, based in Santa Clara, California, is a leading worldwide developer and supplier of custom designed human interface solutions that enable people to interact more easily and intuitively with a wide range of mobile computing, communications, entertainment, and other electronic devices. Prior to joining Synaptics, he served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Probe Technology Corporation, Starlight Networks, and several other high-technology companies for the past 30 years. He also is member of the board for MarineMax, Inc. Mr. Knittel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from California State University and an MBA from San Jose State University. Ralph Schmitt - DirectorRalph Schmitt has served as a director of OCZ since April 2011 and was appointed as the CEO in October 2012. Mr. Schmitt served as President and Chief Executive Officer of PLX Technology, Inc., a provider of semiconductor-based connectivity solutions primarily targeting the enterprise and consumer markets from 2008 to 2012. He has also chaired the GSA Emerging Company Council since 2010. During 2008, he consulted with a variety of venture capitalists, and acted as Chief Executive Officer of Legend Silicon, a privately funded Chinese terrestrial digital TV semiconductor company. From 2005 through 2007, Mr. Schmitt was Chief Executive Officer of Sipex, an analog semiconductor company that merged with Exar in 2007, where he was appointed Chief Executive Officer. From 1999 to 2005, Mr. Schmitt was executive vice president of Sales, Marketing, and Business Development for Cypress Semiconductor where he led sales growth to more than $1 billion while also overseeing the acquisition and integration of numerous companies. Mr. Schmitt serves on the board of PLX Technology, Inc. and has served on the boards at Cypress subsidiaries and other privately-held semiconductor and systems companies. Mr. Schmitt holds a B.S.E.E. from Rutgers University. |
